I moved to Bellevue for the high-quality public schools. Since then, my four kids have matriculated through elementary, middle, and high school. I’ve learned the Bellevue School District has the highest percentage of National Board Certified Teachers in Washington and ranks near the top nationally. Students and parents consistently rate those teachers highly. I'm so thankful for the support Bellevue Schools Foundation provides for this critical program.

Medina is more than just a school - it’s a true community. I’ve seen firsthand how the staff, students, and parents all come together to support one another, creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. It’s a privilege to be part of such a caring and committed school family. 

Medina Elementary has been a fantastic place for my child to learn and grow. His teachers have been caring and also provide a challenging and engaging academic environment, and the administrators and office staff are quick to respond to questions and provide help. His classmates and their families represent a diverse international community that speaks many languages and highly values education. We have a strong PTA at Medina, and the extraordinary level of parent volunteerism, engagement, and support is particularly impressive. 

Our Medina Tigers show their pride by following the four agreements of: Be Kind, Be Safe Do your Best, and Help the Rest. These agreements help students learn, value and support one another, and feel a part of our Medina beloved community. Together with our staff and families, we help our Tigers be the best they can be. 

I am delighted to share my heartfelt appreciation for the extraordinary partnership between Medina Elementary and the PTSA. The collaboration goes beyond traditional roles, creating a true partnership where both partners are dedicated to creating an incredibly supportive and enriching environment for students as well as educators. 

Thank you, Bellevue Schools Foundation, for your generous funding to make the field trip to Kirkland Performance Center happen for our students at Medina. This is the best possible learning opportunity for our beloved community of kindergarteners who love to see and explore things on their own and engage with concepts in ways that are relevant and meaningful.
